Writing Books/Stalled Thoughts

Question
I have been writing a book for a year now, and while the events are inspired by actual life experiences I still find myself getting mentally stalled.  How do I keep going when I feel like I'm stuck in limbo?

Answer
Dear Nicole,
Thank you for your letter. If you want to write a memoir, you may already be finished. That may account for why you're stuck. However, if you want to write an "autobiography into fiction" to share with a larger audience, then you have to convert your story into a novel - a story with plot, characters, etc. To find out more about novel writing, go to my Fiction Writing Workshop at:

Feel free to write back again if you have any questions about the workshop. My first book was my autobiograph (10 years of my life) written as a novel.
Sincerely,
Nori
