Writing Books/Teaching English Abroad

Dear Niki,

I have just completed a year teaching English in South Korea.

Whilst I was there, I kept a diary with snippets of information of school life, living in South Korea and learning about their culture, going on holiday to Japan for a week and amusing things that happened during my stay.

I am nearing completion of my diary since I have returned home last December.

I think that I have produced an interesting book that is informative and humorous and maybe a worthwhile read for anyone who is thinking of teaching English abroad.

I have hardly seen any books about people's experiences of teaching abroad and was wondering how to go about getting my book published.

I hope you can help me with this matter.

Yours sincerely,

John Mayston

That does sound like an ideal topic. You should get a copy of Writer's Market. They have a list of publishers who list what subjects they want. You might want to look for those who want travel or education subjects. You can usually find it with writing books in the reference section of a bookstore. Or you could look in your local library. Good luck!
