I want to develop an online publishig businss using Print On Demand technology. I want to write my own business plan, but I don't want or need to spend in inordinate amount of time doing it.
How can I develop a business plan of about ten pages, and what are some of the questions I should answer in that plan. Is there a particular outline I should follow?
Any help you can give me on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ronald Ayers

Answer Ronald: The only positive answer I can give you is visit the SCORE/Service Corp of Retired Executives website www.score.org On their site there is plenty of business plan info as well as a sample business plan. Don't mean to be blunt/negative or both BUT I am in my 44th year doing business plans for major clients. "but I don't want or need to spend an inordinate amount of time doing it" tells me you do not either understand or value the use of a business plan. In my many years doing biz plans I find the length of the plan is proportional to the ultimate success of the business. Ten pages, in print so small one would need a magnifine glass to read it, could not possibly contain the "meat & potatoes" needed ESPECIALLY if you were to present your own written/'about 10 pages" business plan to a potential lender. Even if I were to assume you need NO FINANCING I would suggest your business plan should be AT LEAST 20-25 pages.
Let me challenge you/make this offer: YOU write your own biz plan then e-mail it to me. At NO FEE to you I will review and critique it and respond with suggestions to you. My e-mail: johntroland@msn.com
