Question QUESTION: Hi John,
I'm really not sure if I should ask YOU this question, but I don't know whom else to ask: I'd like to know how I can become a good content writer or more specifically: I know I can write well, but I'm an unpublished writer. Recently I've heard something about content writing for websites. Is that a good thing? Can you really make money doing it? What's more and what is not without relevance for me: would I be writing a lot of bla bla just to improve some sites SEO profile? If this is a good thing to do (or, moderately good thing), where could I read more about it or where can I turn to offer my writing services?
If you're not the right expert to address with this kind of query, could you perhaps refer me to somebody else or give me a pointer where to turn for answers?
Thanks in advance!
Best wishes,
Tom
ANSWER: Tom: My best advice: Do a net search for books on writing/for writers and also do a net search using key words/phrases for sites that solicit articles. There are LOADS of 'em!

QUESTION: Hi John,
It's me again... - Thanks a lot for your reply. I guess i understand the first part of your answer ('...net search for books on writing/for writers...'), the second part, though, I'd like you to explain a bit more: What key words, e.g., could i use: 'solicit' and 'articles,' or what do you suggest (I've been trying to get my head around this, but haven't succeeded so far)?
Another thing: You say 'There are LOADS of 'em,' but how can i find out which are worthwhile turning my attention to (apparently there are lots of worthless ones around, maybe even scammy ones).
Any relevant response would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
Regards,
Tom
Answer Tom: Go to booksites on the web especially Amazon.com and look for books in your subject area AND look for reader reviews as posted. They are an excellent way to rate a book. Also do a net search looking for book reviews. Use key words such a "businesses seeking content writers" etc.
