Subject: When Dreams Turn to ScreenPlays...

Question
Literally... yeah, I am a dreamer, but all of my screen play Ideas come from detailed dreams of people I have never met in situations I would rarely encounter.  However, I always have trouble finishing a screenplay as the next dream seems so inspiring, but after two years, this daunting task was completed and I now have what I believe a very sell able, very original piece of work (street drama genre).  Also, worried it's a little long though action packed, do agents do editing tasks as well as every scene leads up to the unexpected ending... what do I do now?

Answer
Eric,

Most screenwriters are dreamers.
Why not dream?  It's part of
being human.  Simply remember
that all dreams are about the
person who is dreaming them
even when others are in the dream.

Agents sell screenplays, period.
They might suggest an edit, etc.,
but it'll be up to the screenwriter
to do it, or to get someone to
professionally help them do it.

What you should do now is make
sure your screenplay is market
ready.  You can do that by reading
screenplays that have been produced
and compare them to what you have
written, study screenplay rewriting,
and/or work with a professional
screenwriting expert to help you
shape your screenplay to fit the
market.

I hope this has been of help to you.

Best Regards,
