Question
If a screenplay is based on actual events, is it proper to indicate that on the title page? How would you do so?  Also, if two conversations at two adjoining tables are occurring simultaneously in a restaurant, how would you format the change from Dave's table to Bob's table?   Thank You!

Answer
Sorry this so long to respond to, I had to do a bit of research on scripts and precedents. For all purposes, I would just put on the title page:

         SCRIPT
         written by Hugh Mann

based on and/or* inspired by actual events

*Pick which one fits best.

As for two tables, just simple put a simple action line:

BACK TO JOHN'S TABLE

BACK TO JANE'S TABLE

Hope this helps.
