Gosh, I can't believe I found you! I am currently attending university, with a journalism major, and I enjoy writing articles for submission to magazines. I've only been published once, but I keep trying! I've written a short story to send in to a magazine, but I'm REALLY worried about it, because it's my first attempt at writing a humorous story, and I'm really afraid I've totally missed the mark with it! I've written the article, but I'm just not convinced that it's what the magazine will accept. Would you be willing to read the article (750 words) or even part of it, and let me know what I can improve on? I don't have anyone who will proofread my writing, and I don't want to send in something that is not my absolute best. Would you be willing to help? Thank you in advance!!
Sarah
Answer Hi, Sarah!
While I'd love to read every story that people ask me to, I simply can't. I'd do nothing else except that every day. However, if you want to put a paragraph of it into a response (pick the one you think is funniest) I could glance at it when I have a second. Make sure you tell me the category of humor (like 'real life', 'outdoors,' 'kids' etc.) so I know what I'm looking at. Hope that helps a little.
