X Files - X-Files comedy episodes

Expert: Jayna - 4/13/2008

Question
Hi, can you tell me what X-Files episodes are considered to be comedy episodes? I know there isn't always a clear-cut distinction, but I know that there were a few written with a dark comedic theme in mind.

Answer
"Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" is the absolute pinnacle of XF comedic episodes.  "War of the Corophages," "Small Potatoes," "X-Cops" and "Hollywood AD" are all pretty ridiculous episodes.  The first is from the 2nd or 3rd season, I believe, the second is 4th season and the last two are from the 7th season.  "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas" from the sixth season is kind of in the same vein and maybe even "Post-Modern Prometheus" from the 5th season.
