Question
Hi, Jessica!

Of course, "The Truth is Out there" is the catch phrase of the X-Files. But did anyone on the show ever actually *say* it? I watched the show but not religiously, but I don't recall it was something that was frequently spoken -- directly like that.

Can you confirm one way or the other? Thank you!

Answer
Randee,

Yes, the phrase "The Truth is Out There" was actually said on the show several times.  One example is, it was said in the Episode "Two Fathers" in season 6, from Mulder to Agent Spender.

Spender: I just want the truth.
Mulder: The truth is out there, Agent Spender. Maybe you should find it for yourself.

I hope this was helpful :)
