i really would like to hear all of your opinions pls..so far i have tried to watch as many reruns as possible-very hectic schedule..to get an idea of how the movie would go and what direction would M&S relationship be like in the movie..
so pls..give me your ideas-long/short..tis ok..
let's see which one of us fans can actually get a plot really close to the due real one..yeah..coz it's x-files-it'll be anybody's guess-there may be all or none of some things as i think and fear...surely everyone would wanna know what happened to them/how/when etc-and william, their lives after the x-files and the FBI?
so pls write to me asap..at my email..or here..bye.thanks.
Answer I apologize, but in my personal opinion, the show ended with Season 7. Scully was always a strong woman, and her character was a great rolemodel and FINALLY we had a kick-ass woman character. But, as the show degraded into seasons 8 and 9 her character dissolved into a soap star. Dana Scully, who only cried, probably no more than 5 times total in 7 seasons was doing it every episode. There were a few good episodes here and there, not like in the old days though. Not even close.
I have heard rumors that there will be a second movie, but I have been hearing that since before season 9. None of the sites that report on upcoming movies have any listings for another x-files movie being planned, nor does TOS. I seriously doubt there will be an X-Files sequel, or at least not any time soon.
Personally, had the show ended in season 7 like I believe it should have, I would love to see a second movie. But, alas, I am and forever will be a NoRomo and have no interest in seeing my favorite characters butchered further. Also, I am not positive what Chris Carter could come up with. There is no Syndicate anymore. All they had left in the mythology was the SuperSoldiers.
Very sorry for the negativity, but this, unfortunatly, is what has been left with the end of the X-Files. I seriously think it is over. I would love to see a new show by Chris Carter, but we haven't heard anything from him. Probably got discouraged after FOX kept cancelling his other brilliant shows :-/
