just needing some enlightenment. What is the black cancer and what is its purpose? Also what is are the bees all about?

Answer You must have seen the movie. The black cancer (or the black oil) is how the aliens are planning on taking over the world. It's an infiltration device that allows them to kill humans. The consortium is looking for a vaccine.
As for the bees, I believe, though there's never been any solid understanding, that the bees are the carriers that bring the black cancer to humans.
