Yeah, I think that i had heard or read some where that Gabby/Renee was being trained in kickboxing when the show started to embrace her Amazon/warrior side, so i guess she would be a well-trained Mix Martial Artist with weaponry training. (NOTE: im glad that Xena did decided to teach Gabrielle how to defend herself after so many years of pratically begging her to do so.) As for Eve, yeah that's what i meant, once Gabby gave Eve her right of caste, i never understood why it was never mention later in the show, as it was a big deal for Xena to make her an Amazon bc she wanted Eve to feel like she belong bc of all the stuff the gods was trying to do to kill her. Ironic, that Xena made her daughter and Amazon, but never became one even after Cyane asked to make her one.
Answer Often, when they put the shows together they cut scenes they don't think are important. I would guess that xena telling eve shes an amazon would have been cut because people wuld just assume she was told. I wish i could see all the uncut episodes! :) There is also at least 2 episodes that never made it through production, which is a shame.
