Question Ok, I loved Xena and Hercules when I was younger... the series for both are out on DVD and my dad has gotten them for me. I always knew the pilot episode was Sins of the Past, but in the 12th episode of the 1st season, Athens City Academy of Perfoming Bards, Gabrielle tells stories that give flashbacks to when Xena was the head of her army. In these flashbacks, Xena is beaten down, weaponless and armorless, by her own army because of saving an infants life. After seeing that flashback I remembered that there episodes that aired those scenes. I remember watching them. I remember watching her being beaten by her army, and I remember watching her raid a village in that reddish outfit she is wearing in the intro to each episode. But these stories had to have all taken place before the pilot episode and I can't find them anywhere. Are they even in the Xena shows, or are they episodes of Hercules. Please tell me where I can find those episodes.
Answer thats the easiest question I've had all year! Yes... they are xena eps... before the pilot episode. During the Hercules series there was a trilogy with Xena in it (her debut as xena). It was only after it aired (on Hercules) that they considered making the xena series, becuase the producers got flooded with letter requesting more hercules eps with xena in them. Anyway... the eps were called 'the warrior princess','unchained heart' and, 'the gauntlet'. They are pretty easy to get as they come as a set on their own just for us xena fans. You can get it as a VHS (as the triology) or DVD in the Xena/Hercules crossover episode set called 'Xena And Hercules Collection (2 Disc Set)', which i would highly recommend because it has other xena eps too! anyway. glad i could help
