Yoga & Tai Chi - Pranayama

Expert: Gulshan Kumar - 10/29/2008

Question
At the time of Pranayama , if we inhale with a imagination that prana we absorb from the environment. While exhaling we exhale bad things /thinkings from the body and soul. If we do this without Kumbhka , whether we again inhale the bad things that we exhale just now and again without maintain kumbhka took the air again.

Answer
Dear Mr. Anand,

The ratio of gases in the air remains more or less same every time, presuming the habitat location is not changed and is not industrial.  Accordingly, the inhalation does not involve air that has been exhaled formerly.

As regards the prana imagination, this is a subtle level wherein your mind only absorbs positive energy irrespective of the surrounding energies, if you prepare your mind to imagine so.

Please feel free to write for further clarification  / information, if any required on the subject.

With regards,

Gulshan
