Question Dear Sir,
I am very much pleased to see your website and the way questions are answered. Recently my bood test confirmed that i have overactive thyroid, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I would like to know suitable meditation to get cured. I have been practicising pantanjali yoga and pranayam for one year and left few months ago due to some personal reason. Now again on yoga from 1st Jan.
I request yourself to write me a brief note on meditation or pranayama for overactive thyriod, high cholesterol and high bolld pressure.
Hoping to hear from you shortly,
Thanks and Regards,
sharadhi
Answer Dear Sharadhi
The ailment is a result of wrong play with your body system and the reaction of various over doses of medications and drugs used by you so far.Even if you meditate, you can not perform it because of the irrational breath work which needs to be streamlined. Unless that happens your cure does not appear visible. Please streamline your breathing process and ensure that your inhalation time do not exceeds the exhalation process. You should perform Bhrastika pranayama for at least half an hours with at least 4 seconds of inhalation and even seconds of exhalation every time by concentrating your mind only on your navel. You can do it even by walking and inhale / exhale in 4 steps each. increase your time gradually to one hour. Forget about meditation as your body is not at all attuned to that activity.Meditation is the aftermath of a sound and flexible body followed by nearing your own body and mind by streamlining your breathwork. You can perhaps find my book titled OYO (published by BR Publishers, Ansari Road , New Delhi ) helpful in your case. Please devote atleast an hour thinking only about yourself through the breathwork exercises. You will surely be benefited. With all the best
