Answer
Hello sharadhi

You have not mentioned your blood pressure. Take your doctors advice for best treatment. In addition you can use yoga as supplementary therapy.

First of all you should get your blood pressure under control. People with high blood pressure can do moderate yoga exercises. Do not over exert. Avoid inverted postures and forward bending postures. Do not hold breath if you are doing pranayama.

If your blood pressure is high constantly, do only these exercises till it normalises.

2.  Now you have to reduce these major factors which can further aggravate your problem
>>Stress
>>Heavy diet, fatty food, junk food
>>Lack of proper rest / sleep
>>Obesity,  best way for you is to reduce your
intake of food, avoid salt and sugar. Eat plenty of salads. Take long walks.

3. I am not aware of your lifestyle and dieting pattern. Simplify your diet as much as possible, take adequate rest and exercise daily. In addition to yoga, cycling or walking is also an excellent exercise. Also, mind control is required to keep yourself calm and stress free. That is positive attitude and self confidence that you will become fit.

4.  Till such time, your blood pressure is high, I suggest you do only

>>>Shava asana.
>>>Alom Vilom.  without holding breath.
>>>Pranayama Rhythmic breathng.
>>>Chandrabhedi pranayama.
>>> Practice yoga nidra daily before sleeping.
>>>Start meditation.

Once you feel better start doing other asanas gradually.

For thyroid
>>Sarvangha asana
>>Surya namaskar (Sun salutation)
>>Pawan mukta asana
>>Alom vilom pranayama
>>Bhramri pranayama

In general alom vilom, shava asana, deep rhythmic breathing, chandrabhedi and yoga nidra will help you a lot. Also take care of diet and relaxation.

5.  Selection of proper diet also helps. Reduce tea or coffee to 2 cups  a day. Eat lot of fresh fruits, salads and sprouts. Reduce salt intake.

6.      Relaxation in life, here is a link to article on relaxation. Relaxation is advisable for both thyroid and blood pressure. http://ezinearticles.com/?Yoga-For-Relaxation-And--Relaxation-Techniques-For-Bus...

7. For your yoga practice you can select any comfortable asanas mentioned in this page.

Also add sarvangh asana (shoulder stand) when you are comfortable with yoga practice and blood pressure is normal.
