Question
I am a very shy person who avoid social getherings etc. How to remove shyness and fear and becomes more confident through yoga? Does pranayama helps?

Answer
Dear VT
It is shyness that you even avoid revealing your name even on Internet. You need to develop your self confidence. I'm not aware of your sex and age as that would have helped me in suggesting you better solutions. You may be shy of your inherent body weaknesses and lack of adequate knowledge on a particular subject. Regular Breathwork, specially Kapal Bhati Pranayaam could benefit you a lot. In early morning hour, getup, wash up and sit preferably in Siddhassana( lotus sitting folded legs), concentrate on your navel and fast exhale through your nose every second and ensure your stomach is tucked in with each exhalation. Do it for 100 times and repeat after 5 minutes. Gradually increase your sets to 20.At the end of the exercise, straighten your legs and move your feet and knee joints and the lie down straight and relax for atleast 5 minutes before getting up. It will take about 6 months and you will be a different person with enriched confidence. Keep sending me a feedback for further assistance.

with kind love and regards
