Question
What are some of your favorite things to do and
see?
Any suggestions on lodging?  We would like to stay
in a not too expensive cabin that has a kitchen, but any suggestions would be appreciated.'
Thanks

Answer
There are a few housekeeping cabins within the park.  (with kitchens).  Very few.  They book a year in advance.  Literally!!  Your other choice would be to try the Redwoods at Yosemite (try a web search) which are private homes for rent on the west side of the park.  They are a ways from Yosemite Valley.

Yosemite Valley is a must see, despite crowds in summer.  Spend some time playing or tubing on the river; see Yosemite Falls, rent a bike and ride around (a good way to see the valley), have a relaxing lunch at the Awahnee Lodge (and if you want a beautiful but very pricey place to stay, stay there).  Go to Glacier Point and enjoy the view.  Hike the mist trail.  Drive to Wawona and see the Big Sequoias.  Drive to Tenaya Lake and swim and picnic (in the high country).  Drive to Tuolumne Meadows and hike there.  Check out the brochures they give you when you enter the park; there's plenty to do!

Have fun!
