Question
Hi,

I'm very into Teen fiction and Fantasy and i very rarely travel outside of that area. I have a reading assignment for a government class I'm taking and i need some help. Do you know any books about government or politics that are interesting. It has to be nonfiction and can't be about history. I'm really lost here and would appreciate your help.

       Thank you.

Answer
Hello Kaitie,

Ugh...Government and Politics are such a hard topic to find interesting, expecially is you are a fantasy fan.

I did find a couple of books that sound very interesting to me and not to terribly long.

This is my first choice,  it really sound interesting.

The ungentlemanly art; a history of American political cartoons,
by Stephen Hess and Milton Kaplan.  This has 252 pages, however, I think alot of it may be some of the cartoons.

I know this says the word "history",  in the title, but I believe she/he may mean historical events.  You may have to clear this with her/him.

Another choice could be either of these books:

Give me liberty! : the story of the Declaration of Independence
 Russell Freedman.

The Declaration of Independence
Hal Marcovitz ; [introduction by Barry Moreno].
(Series: American symbols and their meanings)

I hope this helps, if there is anything else I could help you with please let me know...

Thanks for contacting me....Keep Reading!! :-)
