Question
A few years ago, a friend of mine recommended a series based on my interest in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. The sad part is, I don't remember much about it, besides a few small facts. It was a series about a human apprentice who befriends an alien. The alien takes him through a number of journeys, including going to a bazaar where aliens from all galaxies join together. I know, it doesn't really give much information, but any help will be great! Thank you!

I think you are talking about the Myth Adventures series. It is hysterical.Bob Asprin and Jody Lynn Nye (who happens to be a personal friend of mine.)The
series is cover illustrated by Phil Foglio who used to live in the Chicago area till Wizards of the Coast lured him away.
You will go insane from laughter with this series.
