AboutPatrick Expertise I can answer any questions about RULINGS only with the Yu-Gi-Oh English TCG. I get my information from the official source, so if you tell me something that contradicts the official rules, I will give you the exact ruling(or similar situation) with explanation. My advice to you is get the rulings on every single card in YOUR DECK before starting to duel!
A good site to look for rulings would be(now includes Light of Destruction & The Dark Emperor!):
I CANNOT do deck fixes, as I pay attention to the rules more so that everyone plays it right. If you ask me for deck fixes, I will immediately sent it to the Question Pool(No, this is not rejecting your question).
UPDATE: Down to 5 questions per day. Sorry for any inconvenience. Be clear and use punctuation. Nothing related to deck fixes/checks/ratings or card prices/trades/whereabouts.
NOTE: This should not happen, but I'll post it here anyway: Due to limited connectivity to the internet/personal problems, I am terribly sorry if it takes me more than 24 hours to answer your question. If you send "non-ruling"-related questions, do not expect a reply.
Experience I know the rulings.. and I only get them from the official source. Even then, some people will do anything to win(even if it goes against the rules), such as arguing who's right and wrong.

Expert: Patrick Date: 7/6/2008 Subject: Priority Upon Summoning, etc
Question 1. I've seen and read about calling Priority when a monster is summoned, in response to something like Torrential or Bottomless. However, I'd like to know if it applies to any/all kinds of monster effects, or only specific types (like ignition for example). The matter in question: my opponent summons Darklord Zerato, I chain Bottomless, he calls priority. Is he able to do this, and will it allow him to use its effect before it is removed from play?
2. Does Spirit Barrier work if, say, a monster such as Ryu Kokki is in face up attack position and attacked by a stronger monster, such as Judgment Dragon? My opponent has Spirit Barrier active, will he take any battle damage? Does Spirit Barrier's effect begin after or during the damage step? Can you clarify all the steps involved in damage calculation, as well as the exact moment when the monster is destroyed? Would Spirit Barrier work if the monster (only one on his side of the field) is destroyed by battle?
3. Is Appropriate able to chain to cards like Hand Destruction/Card Destruction when activated by its controller?
Thank you for all of your help!
Answer 1. Priority only applies to Ignition Effects.
Your opponent must call priority before you activate Bottomless Trap Hole. After his effect resolves, then your Bottomless resolves and Darklord Zerato is destroyed.
2. Here's how it will work: Spirit Barrier is active. Judgment Dragon attacks Ryu Kokki. Damage calculation is applied, but no Battle Damage is inflicted. Ryu Kokki is destroyed and doesn't take the 600.
3. Appropriate is a Continuous Trap Card, which means it must stay on the field to maintain effect. You can't chain to those cards and have its effect activate immediately.
