I'm back and ready to answer some questions. w00t
I can help with ANY kind of deck if I can. I work with a lot of casual decks, so if you're asking me if your deck is tournament worthy, you're better off to ask a different expert to get a more accurate answer. I haven't been in a tournament since 2004. Now I'm buying cards and duel with friends for fun, hoping to invest a bit while I'm at it. Other than that, I can still rate and help out as best as I can. Please do not list cards in paragraph form. I also will help with any rulings or combo questions. Here's a list of things I could do.

Experience
3-4 years of playing yugioh but had a break of 2-3 years from it. Now I'm trying to catch up with the "new age" cards/decks. I literally look at thousand of cards online and thought up of many strategies, which resulted in a lot of fun decks to use. Currently working on Monarch, Zombie, Ninja, VWXYZ, Dark World, Sky Scourge, Ocean Dragon Lord, and Insect Decks. Currently perfecting my Sky Scourge/Dark World Hybrid Deck and VWXYZ Chimeratech Deck.

QUESTION: hey there Sam, I've been asking a few experts but the deck fixes they give me just don't seem right.a few people told me to run dark magicians, but i decided against that right away because the support cards are bad and hes not even that great.so i was wondering if you could help me with a spell counter spellcaster deck.plus, i need to cut out some cards because my deck is around 50 cards. here is my deck:

i know i have a lot of cards and I'm sorry about that.ive been trying hard to find what to take out and put in.i recently got an arcanite magician/assault mode,but i need the synchro and assault mode activate.plus if i manage to get a tempest magician,i have nights end sorcerers and a few other good cards. please help me thin my deck and find the best strategies.also any tips would help. thank you for reading.
ANSWER: Hey Daniel. I do agree Dark Magician does not fit well in this type of deck at all.
Magic Drain: Since it negates the activation of the spell card, you don't get a counter since it never happens.
Your deck looks similar to the ones I was helping with, so I'll paste what I said in the other question for you to read the strategies and tell me if you like them or not. Then I can help change your deck accordingly. It may be a bit outdated but most of the good cards are here.
By the way, I just noticed "Crusader of Endymion" came out in the new pack, Stardust Overdrive. A beatstick counter generating spellcaster that gets an attack boost out of it. Other than that, this card looks cool. Awesome that you got one.

Now for some suggestions for your deck. If you want to have spell control, get "Secret Village of the Spellcasters". If you want trap control also, add in 3x Royal Decree as your only trap cards. This way you can focus on spamming spell cards. A true spellcaster deck if you want to think of it that way. This can help out with spell counter decks as well.
Another idea is to add tuner monsters to your deck. Synchro summoning is a must in order to be competitive. Frequency Magician and Night's End Magician are spellcaster tuners. Apprentice Magician can bring them out easy.

1x book of moon (Was making room. Can be a good card, take this out for Smashing Ground if you want it back)
Added in:
1x magical citadel of endymion (Made some room to add in one more of this card when you get it)

QUESTION: Thanks for the help. I'm glad to see that there weren't too many changes done. I thought i was going to have to get a whole bunch of cards. Anyway, thanks for thinning my deck out and thanks for the advice.I might be entering the local tournaments in a week or two so I'll tell you if i find any new cards for a Synchro deck.

Answer
Let me know when you do. By the way, if you want to try /Assault Mode out, you would need to change your deck a lot since they're a deck on their own kind of. Since you need to make sure the /Assault Monster stays in your deck.
Anyway, try adding in 2x Allure of Darkness since majority of your monsters are dark. If you want some anti-meta cards, add in a "Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer".
