I am great at deck fixes. I ONLY do ADVANCED tournament regulation deck fixes. My knowledge on trades, prices, and ruling are good. But deck fixes are my Specialty like: anything that is currently hot. I WILL prepare your deck to COMPETE up to level of the current tournament standards. (I keep up with the metagame consistently). I DO NOT make decks from SCRATCH. If you are attending a regional or SJC name which. Also if you have a UDE # please provide it.

Yu-Gi-Oh - Rare Metalmorph

Expert: Skye Hayes - 6/20/2007

Question
Hey, i picked up a machine re-volt set and im polishing it up a tad. Was dueling
a friend and we kinda got stuck. I'm curious, say for example i had 1 face-up
ancient gear golem and a face down rare metalmorph. Opponent (in main phase 1) uses something
along the lines of brain control/enemy controller targeting my ancient gear golem would i be able to activate the rare
metalmorph and then also instantly use its effect to negate brain control or
not?

Thx in advance.

Answer
well sol, Yes you can. Since you activated in response to the braincontrol/enemycontroller, your card rare metalmorph  is the second link of the chain. Remember on a chain things although things are activated the effects resolve backwards. Meaning your gear golem would stay on you side of the field and the first thing to happen would be to equip it with the rare metalmorph. Thus giving you the ability to negate brain control which is the first step of the chain and hence the last to resolve. However. In the case of snatch steal please remember that snatch steal stays on the field connected to the gear golem but its effect becomes meaningless (it still is attached to the gear golem but you dont gain 1000 life points ar each of your standby phases and your opponent doesnt gain control) if a rare metalmorph is chained to it.essentially will take up space fo you opponent. However if your opponent Mystical space typhoons your rare metalmorph which is currently negating the snatach steal. THe rare metalmorph is destroyed and the snatch steal resumes the role of taking control of the monster and giving you a 1000 life points at each of your standby phases.
