iPod - iTunes library safe?

Expert: Charles Worrall - 9/15/2009

Question
Hey there!, I recently successfully changed my iTunes library to and external hard drive (which stores all my music now), but now I want to manage my library from another computer, with my library still in my external hard drive.

1. Am I going to be able to manage my iTunes library as it was in the other computer just by changing the folder location to the External Hard Drive again?

2. If not, how to?

my computer manages Windows XP
thanks for your time

Answer
I believe you should have no problem, as long as you leave your external hooked up. Reason for this is because if you want to play a song through iTunes, and the physical copy of the song is on your external and it is not hooked up. Then iTunes will give you an error. So as long as you have the external hooked up to your computer when you want to play a song or manage your iPod then you should have no problem.
